L. Joos
Mr. Joos was employed by American Benefit in 1979 after several years
as a Group Representative with a major insurance company. A North
Dakota native, he received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University
of Northern Iowa in 1974. He became Assistant Vice President of American
Benefit Corporation in 1987, Vice President in 1990, Senior Vice President
in 1992, Secretary-Treasurer in 2000 and President in 2005.
Executive Vice President, Senior Actuary
Matthew W. Carlton, Ph.D., F.S.A.
Dr. Carlton’s educational background includes Bachelors and
Masters Degrees from West Virginia University in Morgantown, West
Virginia, and he completed his Doctorate in Mathematics from the
University of Kentucky, Lexington, Kentucky. Employed by American
Benefit in 1974, he became an Enrolled Actuary in 1984 and received
his Fellowship from the Society of Actuaries in May 1985. He is
currently a member of the American Academy of Actuaries. Dr. Carlton
serves American Benefit as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial
Officer and Senior Actuary.
Director, Human Resources/Controller
Patricia Bostic
Ms. Bostic joined American Benefit Corporation
in 2005. She is a Human Resource professional with more than 18
years of corporate experience with a Fortune 500 company. She earned
her Master of Arts degree in Organizational Communication Studies
from Marshall University. She also completed her Bachelor and Associate
degrees in Business Management from Marshall University. She is
currently a member of the Tri-State Society of Human Resource Management
and the Huntington Regional Chamber of Commerce.
Director, Actuarial Accounting Operations
Kimberly A. Wood
Ms. Wood joined American Benefit in 1998 as
Assistant Actuary and became Director, Actuarial, Accounting and
Trust Operations in 2005. Her educational background includes a
Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degree in Mathematics from Marshall
University. Previous to Ms. Wood joining American Benefit, she taught
in the public school system.
Manager, Actuarial and Accounting Departments
Sonya R. Patrick
Ms. Patrick received her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting
from Campbellsville University and her Master of Business Administration
degree from Marshall University. She joined American Benefit in 2001
as a supervisor, and now serves as Manager of the Actuarial and Account
Departments.
Manager, Information Systems
Barbara A. Lunt
Ms. Lunt joined American Benefit Corporation in October 2001 as the
Information Systems Manager. She has more than 15 years of Systems
Development Management and Project Management experience in various
business disciplines. She attended Lorain County Community College
and Kent State University, and has completed numerous technical training
seminars.
Manager, Claims Department
Linda L. Sites
Ms. Sites attended Huntington Junior College of Business in Huntington,
West Virginia. She has been employed by American Benefit since 1967,
holding several positions within the company. She became a Claims
Department Supervisor in 1978 and was named Manager of the Claims
Department in 2000.

Christa E. Martin
Ms. Martin, a native of Germany, joined American Benefit Corporation
in 1971 and has held several positions within the company. She is
a graduate of Kirchgarten School, Neckarou, Germany and Mannheim
Business College. She was named Supervisor of the Claims Department
in 1993.
Manager, Trust Administration
Anita G. Rickman
Ms. Rickman joined American Benefit in 1993. She attended Marshall
University and holds an Associate degree with honors in Professional
Office Administration with medical specialization from Huntington
Junior College of Business. Ms. Rickman became Supervisor of the Trust
Administration in 2001 and was appointed Manager in 2004.
Account Executive
Robyn T. Dilley
Ms. Dilley joined American Benefit Corporation in 1979, holding
several positions within the company. She holds an Associate degree
in Business Management from the Huntington Junior College of Business
and is currently sitting for the CEBS examinations. Ms. Dilley has
served American Benefit as Administrative Assistant since 1992 and
was named Administrative Consultant Assistant in 2004 and Account
Executive in 2006.
Bill Eastwood
Chief Executive Officer
Bill Eastwood, Chief Executive Officer, has 25+ years of experience in the sales and service of employee benefits programs. He began his career with short treks with The Prudential and John Hancock Insurance Companies. He worked 13 years with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of West Virginia prior to becoming a National Account Executive with Cigna. While at Cigna he and his sales team received the Superior Achievement Award for delivering the highest level of sales and service to their client base. After 10 years with Cigna, Bill took the knowledge and expertise he had gained over the years and opened Eastwood Consulting. He became CEO of American Benefit Corporation in early 2007.
Jeremy Eastwood
Commercial Account Executive
Jeremy Eastwood, Commercial Account Executive, has worked in the insurance field since 2004 as an Account Executive at Eastwood Consulting and Insurance Services. He earned his bachelors degree from Marshall University in 1999 and taught social studies in several public school systems from 2000 to 2004. He joined American Benefit in 2007.
Ryan Jones
Chief Financial Officer
Ryan Jones, Chief Financial Officer, joined American Benefit in 2007. Ryan is a CPA who has an extensive background in public practice including a regional firm that concentrated its practice in the health care field. Ryan currently works closely with our IT and sales departments.
Barbara Young
Trust Department Supervisor
Barbara Young, Trust Department Supervisor, graduated from Assumption High School and attended Western Kentucky University. A Kentucky native, Barbara began her career at Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Kentucky. She was an assistant buyer at Supervalu Food Distribution before joining American Benefit Corporation in 2003, where she was promoted to supervisor in 2007.
Jim Kirk
Chief Information Officer
Jim Kirk, Chief Information Officer, joined American Benefit in 2008, after spending 20 years with Dow Chemical Company as their International Infrastructure Architect. He earned his Associate in Chemical Technology from West Virginia State University in 1990 and his Bachelor of Science in Business Information Systems from Bellevue University in 1999. Jim also holds a MCSE and numerous other certifications.
